Good skincare is life. There is something about trying out new skincare products that get me so excited. Excited at the prospect of finding something truly amazing. Excited about exploring the beauty frontier. Excited about a glowing complexion. I put a lot of effort into my skincare routine because I know that without a good foundation, the rest of my beauty routine will not stack up. A brand that is new to me is elvis+elvin. For the last couple weeks I have been trying out their Sea Mud Cleansing Bar and their Hydrate Therapy Detoxify Alginate Peek Off Mask.
The elvis+elvin Sea Mud Cleansing Bar is suitable for all skin types. It is supposed to enhance the skin’s youthfulness and claims to purify, exfoliate, and invigorate for a clean smooth refreshing feeling. It is made with all natural mineral-rich Dead Sea mud with a hint of argan oil, it nourishes the skin by restoring it back to its natural pH form. The Sea Mud Cleansing Bar is an effective removal for dirt, blackheads, dead skin cells and other pollutants found inside the pores, and keeps the skin’s natural oils intact resulting in clear moisturized skin and a radiant glowing complexion.
I found it to be a great facial cleanser. The scent is natural and refreshing. My skin looked fantastic after using. With every day use, I finished up the bar in about 3-4 weeks. I think that my skin looks better than it did before I started, but I can’t give all the props to this bar… Because it might have a little to do with the next product.
The elvis+elvin Hydrate Therapy Detoxify Alginate Peel-Off Mask is amazing. I have been intrigued with masks that you have to combine ingredients yourself. It satisfies my inner child because it feels like I am tinkering with one of those adolescent chemistry sets. It also makes me feel very hands on when it comes to getting a proper skincare regimen in place.
After mixing up the two packets into a bowl, just apply it to your face. I found using my fingers was the best way to get the mask in an even layer over my face. I took pictures of the mask on my face, but they were completely blurred out. I think its because the black of the mask was competing with my hair sticking up everywhere and in each of the photos my camera decided it liked the highlights of my hair better. SMH
Regardless, I love the mask. I LOVE that it felt like gelly on my face. Peeling it off was super easy because of the thicker gel texture. It didn’t stick to my skin, it peeled right off as painlessly as when it was applied.
I am really impressed with these two goodies from elvis+elvin. I have already been perusing their website and thinking about other products I am interest in trying. They have a lot to choose from. They offer haircare and body care too! I saw an exfoliating shampoo that really struck my fancy.
