My every day makeup remover used to be makeup wipes until micellar waters entered my life about 5 years or so ago. Imagine my excitement when I saw the Garnier Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes in Ulta a few days ago. I literally couldn’t resist throwing them in my cart.
Before I get into my opinion on the wipes, I want to explain my main uses for makeup wipes. While I don’t recommend using wipes as your main form of cleansing your face after wearing makeup, there are a ton of amazing uses that these babies are perfect for.
Freshen Up
One of my most favorite ways to use makeup remover wipes is to freshen up in the morning or mid day. I typically shower at night but still go through a full skincare routine in the morning. I use makeup wipes in the morning to clean off the residue of the skincare that was left over from my night time routine.
Sometimes during the middle of the day my face starts feeling, for lack of a better word, gross. I love using these (or even micellar water) to freshen up.
Go Day To Night
During the day I wear very light makeup. At night I usually want something a little more glamorous. To get rid of the BB cream or whatever have you that is on my skin during the day, I use a makeup wipe to clean up and set up a blank slate for my fuller coverage foundations.
Deo Refresher
This one is a little weird, but hear me out. How many times have your underarms not been in the most fresh, but you need to go somewhere really quickly and there is no time for a shower. WE ALL KNOW you cannot just put deodorant over the odor that already exists because it just doesn’t work. A quick hack I have found is to take a makeup wipe and clean up your underarm so that you can eliminate the existing odor and then apply your deodorant as usual. This is truly a great hack and I highly recommend you try it if you are in a pinch.
Face Mask Clean Up
Face masks are amazing. I LOVE slapping on a good face mask in the evenings. The only pain in a face mask is the removal of it. Makeup wipes are a quick way to wipe it off and toss it.
Wash Hands
One of the final things I use makeup wipes for on a daily basis is to clean up my hands. I usually have a makeup wipe in my purse and when I am out to lunch (or insert whatever dirties your hands) I like to use a wet wipe to quickly wash up my hands. These are amazing for that.
So lets talk about the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes. This is everything you love about micellar waters and makeup remover wipes combined. It feels like and fresh on the skin like micellar water does, but it has the convenience of being ready to go in a wipe. I haven’t completely replaced my micellar waters, but these are PERFECT for on the go skin cleansing. I think these wipes are really amazing and I actually enjoy them much more than my other makeup remover wipes.
You can pick these babies up at your local Ulta or drugtores anywhere that Garnier products are sold.
