I love trying new mascaras and there is one that stood out recently to me and it is L’Oreal Voluminous Feline. I am an old school L’Oreal Voluminous user but I have a special place in my heart for leopard print anything. As soon as I saw the packaging of the Voluminous Feline goodies I was IN LOVE. It is just too good. They also released a Voluminous Feline Liner so I used the two together for this simple look today and I want to talk a little bit about the results I got.
First off let’s talk about the liner. I haphazardly threw the liner on to see how easily it applied and I have nothing but good things to say. It went on evenly and smooth and I didn’t have an issue with it creating a jagged line or seeping into wrinkles and feathering. I think that it is really good and I created this simple winged liner in seconds.
I could have probably tight-lined my upper lashes to give an appearance of a thicker lash line, but I really wanted you to get a full visual of the mascara itself… The mascara I am torn about. While I do like the formula itself (not wet, but still easily layered, and not dry) it didn’t do much for adding volume to my actual lashes. Length was good but I like a nice fat lash and that never happened. I honestly prefer the original Voluminous formula over the Feline one. That packaging tho…. ;)
I think on days that I am not wearing anything flashy the mascara would be great. I ALSO think this is a great mascara to pair with false lashes. For example, I usually apply mascara first and then apply false lashes. Mostly I apply the mascara to make my lashes look simliar to the falsies so they blend. For that I think its perfect because they are definitely longer with the mascara. The liner is great and I urge you to get it ASAP! You can find them at Ulta!
