We are approaching the holidays, and right after that is the beginning of the new year. Everyone wants to start getting focused on getting back in shape for the beginning of a new year, but I am going to start focusing on working on my weight loss before then. The holidays are a difficult time for many to watch what they eat because there are so many parties and family gatherings that center around food and eating. I am going to give you a few tips and tricks to keep you on track through the holidays so that you can meet your weight loss goals more easily. First let me start by telling you that my weight has fluctuated a lot over the years. It seems as though every time I got down to my goal weight I ended up getting pregnant. I am happy to say that both times I got down to my goal weight I was actually using alli® weight loss aid for overweight adults 18 years and older, so there is a common denominator there.
alli® prevents about 25% of the fat you eat from being absorbed, which I think is pretty cool. I do make an effort to eat healthy, but sometimes you need a little added help and I think that alli® does that wonderfully. For every 2 pounds you lose through diet and exercise, alli® can help you lose 1 more when combined with a low-calorie, reduced-fat diet*. Think about all the time and effort you put into losing those 2 pounds and think about potentially how much faster you can get to your goal if you are losing an additional pound during the same amount of time. So instead of losing 10 lbs. you could lose 15. YASSS! 2 to 1 doesn’t sound like a big deal but when you multiply that by a larger number it really adds up. The next tip I want to share is use smaller plates. Since we were very young, our parents have preached for us to clean our plates. “Waste not, want not.” The only problem is that over the last few decades, the plates available to us in shopping venues have literally gotten bigger. When you use smaller plates you get the idea of a full plate, and you won’t feel as bloated and full once you have finished all the food on the plate.
Drink lots of water is my final tip. Sometimes we feel hungry when in reality we are just thirsty or dehydrated. If we keep our bodies hydrated by drinking plenty of water, we are less likely to snack on unhealthy food on impulse. Plan your workouts, meals and visit myalli.com for advice and information! Tell me in the comments below some tips or tricks you do to help you lose weight. Your comment will enter you to win a $100 Visa gift card!
