Micellar water has been around for a few years now, but it is still new enough to the market that a lot of people aren’t exactly sure why they need it or what all they can do with it. Honestly, there are a LOT of ways to use the product that are out of the ordinary but worth noting, so today I am going to share with you 5 ways to use micellar water.
5 Uses for Micellar Water
one – The first, and most obvious, use for micellar water is to cleanse your skin. Micellar water completely removes any trace of make up, dirt, sweat or oil from your skin while also being super gentle. Oil-based particles called micelles attract dirt and impurities like a magnet and lift them off your skin. All you have to do is soak a cotton ball or pad with micellar water then glide them over your face to cleanse.
two – Clean your makeup brushes in a pinch. It makes sense that if micellar water cleans your skin, then it will clean your brushes. Just pour a little bit into a bowl and dip the brushes in and immediate work it and wipe it off. I LOVE this when I need a quick color change for my eye brushes.
three – Refresh your skin on the go. Filling up a small spray bottle and keeping it in your purse will pay off big when you are headed to the gym or out on a hot day. It is really easy to spritz your face with micellar water and it actually helps to keep it clean!
four – Clean up your makeup blunders. Have you ever been applying eyeliner or mascara and then sneeze and leave spots all over your face? I know I have. It is really easy to clean up if you use a q-tip and micellar water to clean up the oopsies.
five – Remove stains from clothing, carpet, and furniture. It always happens that I manage to get makeup on my shirt collar, or even worse, my husbands work shirts. If you work quickly enough you can pour some micellar water on a cotton pad and lift it off the fabric before it sets in.
I have been using micellar water for at least 3 years now, and the Garnier SkinActive® Micellar Cleansing Water is a great one, and actually the #1 micellar water in the America.* It removes makeup, cleanses, and refreshes all-in-1 easy step. I also love how inexpensive and easily accessible it is; you can find it at CVS, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Rite Aid, and the list goes on… The Garnier SkinActive® Micellar Cleansing Water formula is oil-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free and doesn’t require harsh rinsing or rubbing, which is excellent for those with sensitive skin. I actually enjoy other Garnier SkinActive® products as well. The Micellar Cleansing Water with the pink cap is definitely my favorite but I like to use the one in the blue cap to remove eye makeup because it really does a great job removing mascara.
What I am trying to say is that Garnier SkinActive® is a great brand and you definitely need to check their micellar waters.
