I am a big fan of wearing neutrals. Brown, khaki, grey, black, and white are the colors you will find in abundance in my closet. I wear mostly basics because that is what I like, even my makeup collection consists of mostly neutrals. Out of my neutral wardrobe, white is the color I like to wear most. I am admittedly a klutz, spilling and smearing things onto my clothes without even realizing it sometimes. Keeping those whites clean can sometimes be a struggle. Today I am going to share 3 tips that I use to help me keep my whites looking white.
3 Tips To Keep White Clothes White
{one} Separate Whites In The Laundry – This may sound like a “duh” moment for most of you, but I know how it is to have a never-ending pile of laundry and sometimes you just wanna throw it all in together. I am telling you do not do that. While the clothes still come out appearing white they are typically more dingy and less brilliant.
{two} Presoak – This is a technique that I neglected to do for many years, but in reality it is extremely helpful. You may not have a ton of time to presoak but I recommend doing it for 2-6 hours. You want to soak your whites in the warmest water that the garment label recommends.
{three} OxiClean™ White Revive™ Stain Remover – This stuff has been amazing for me. I simply add my detergent AND OxiClean™ White Revive™ Stain Remover (filled to line 2) to the washing machine before I add in my laundry and it works wonders. The best part? It doesn’t smell like bleach or chlorine or any of those harsh chemical smells.
Let me show you an example of the clumsiness. A few things I do on repeat is spill drinks on my tops, makeup rubs onto the collar of my clothes, red sauce LOVES to fall onto my clothing and sometimes it is in spots so weird I wonder how on earth they get there. In the photo below I have an example of myself spilling coffee on my collar area. This is a tank top that I have had for a while now and I planned to have it packed to go to Hawaii on vacation so when I saw the stain I was so upset.

I presoaked it and used OxiClean™ White Revive™ Stain Remover in the wash and luckily the top came out free of stains and looking bright like it was brand new.
