Lately I have been feeling stressed out to the max. I don’t know if it’s because I am getting older or if it is because I continuously take on more and more stuff. Most days I feel like my head is going to explode with the never ending checklists that come along with holding down family life and essentially what has become 2 businesses, the blog and my Etsy shop. True story, I had a break down while driving my care while we were in Hawaii that was stress-related and it freaked me out. Right away I knew I needed to start incorporating more relaxing things into my daily life that are quick and easy to trickle in. Quick and easy being the key because if these techniques weren’t they would probably add to more stress.
5 Quick and Easy Ways to Relax
Drink Some Tea – Although there is no real scientific proof, tea is very relaxing. Everything about it is soothing. The warmth of the cup, the scent that wafts from the liquid, the feeling as it touches your lips. It is a 5-minute transportation to bliss, and what is better?
Read A Book – Reading a quick chapter in the middle of the day allows you to switch gears and stop thinking about your stressors. Books can take you anywhere with their stories; you can be on a ship with Captain Ahab or discovering any number of new worlds.
Get Physical – Physically moving your body can help you rid yourself of stress. Doing some yoga, taking a brisk walk, stretching, or even hitting a punching bag would qualify as getting physical.
Make Lists – Making lists helps me sort my thoughts, therefore transferring them from my mind and into a beautifully organized place where they belong. Most of the time I am stressing about things that aren’t even important at the time I am thinking about them, so writing them down and pushing them to a different day is important for me.
Skincare Masks – Doing masks have become a regular occurrence in my skincare routine. I find them soothing while they are on my face and they actually improve the quality of my skin for the future, so it’s like a double whammy. As The Face Mask Authority™, nügg Beauty has a wide variety of masks to choose from and they are all quick and easy to use. I love their Multi-Masking Sets!
Their face masks are perfectly packaged in individual pods to keep for easy use, easy disposal, and it keeps them fresh. The Revitalizing and Exfoliating masks are the two I have been using lately and they target dulling skin. I mentioned earlier that I am getting older and I am doing my best to keep my skin looking youthful and radiant, so these are my favorite options!
Not many people think about doing a lip treatment but the nügg Intense Lip Boosting Mask has quickly started to become one of my favorites from the nügg line. It contains Coconut Oil, Shea Butter & Irish Moss Extract to moisturize and soften lips while Liquorice Root Extract helps naturally enhance your pout. It is also easy to pop on your lips while you continue doing whatever else it is you are doing.
The nügg Depuff Eye Masks are great for the mornings after a long night. I stay up far later than I should and that results to really puffy eyes. I pop these babies on and while I am sipping on my tea or reading my book and by the time I am doing they have worked their magic. Game changers.
