Have you ever had a Chai Latte? It wasn’t until the last couple of years that I had my first one and must say that I really, really love them. It is the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy and TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods have made it easier than ever to enjoy one in your own home. The drink is a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla flavor. Amazing.
Something you may not know is that chai tea is steeped in 5,000 years of Indian history. Chai is a black tea blend that’s part sweet, part spicy, and totally unexpected. And totally amazing.
TAZO® has partnered with New York Times Bestselling author and host Padma Lakshmi to celebrate the release of the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods. She developed a few recipes that pair perfectly with a cup of chai and you can find them by visiting here. The cards you see scattered about in the above picture are the recipes and I am planning on trying a few out for myself. Some of them are sweet and some are savory, but they all look ridiculously delicious. And that is all that counts, right?
The drink has two steps. The first one is pouring the contents of the powder into your cup. There are a couple options to choose from and my favorite is the Vanilla Caramel Latte packet. The second step is brewing the TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods in the same cup. Swirl it all together with your spoon and voila! Perfection in a cup.
I am a devoted coffee drinker, but I also enjoy variety. I work from home so I don’t usually get a chance to get out and do different things every day. Most days the only way I get to have a little variety in my life is with my food and beverages. I have been enjoying a nice warm cup of TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods in the afternoons while I am scratching off my to do lists and gearing up for my evening schedule of dinner, homework, and bath time with the kids. It is a little bit of me time as well as focus time mixed into one. What better way to enjoy my afternoons than with a bit of tea?!
Tell me in the comments below: What are your favorite treats that get you through the day? Is it a cup of tea, a delicious snack? Both?
