I am entering my mid-30s.
There I said it. Sometimes it is hard to swallow. I feel like I just graduated high school some days, mostly because of the random breakouts and overall immature thoughts that come into my mind at the most inopportune times. Most days the breakout annoyance is drowned out by the latest fine line discovery. I honestly wish that I didn’t have one or the other let alone both, but that is life I suppose. In the last decade of my life I have become a devout skincare user. If I skip cleansing and moisturizing I feel wretched, and I think about what condition my skin would be in if I DIDN’T regularly use my skincare products. That is a scary thought. HA Lately I have been testing out Receutics Active Skin Repair. I have been trying their Anti-Aging Correctors and the Therapeutic Cleanser.
When I was younger I would describe my skin as seriously oily. As I aged (and started taking better care of my skin) I noticed it changed to more combination. Now that I am in my 30s and have moved into a totally different climate I have noticed that some days my skin is dry.
Receutics Skincare
The Receutics Gentle Hydrating Cleanser has been helping me combat that itchy feeling that dry skin gives you and it is perfect for senstive skin because it is gentle, just like the name suggests. My skin is instantly soothed when I use it.
On top of regular fine lines and wrinkles, I also suffer from uneven skin tone and random dark spots (usually caused from healing acne spots) and I have really been enjoying the Receutics Anti-Aging line to help me with both issues. My favorite of the two is the Rapid Dark Spot & Tone Corrector. It reduces the look of dark spots, evens out my skin tone and gives me a radiance that is subtle, yet noticeable. It is a professional strength formula and I have definitely noticed great results. The Rapid Wrinkle Repair is also really great. It is dermatoligist strength, brightens the skin, gives radiance, but it also reduces wrinkles, lifts and firms. I switch these up throughout the day. I use one in the morning and one at night, and I don’t really have a rhyme or reason as to which is used when.
Before and After
As you can see in the before photo I have some breakouts, dark spots, and overall discoloration. After incorporating these 3 products into my skincare routine for the last month I am happy to say I noticed improvements with dark spots and my skin tone looks more even and overall much brighter. I am really happy with the results.
If you are like me and want a fix for your problematic skin then I recommend you checkout out their website and seeing which of their product lines work best for you. They have Acne Clearing, Dry Skin Therapy, Anti-Aging, and Sun Care! What is even cooler is that they are sold exclusively at Rite Aid.
