Summer is fast approaching and for me, that means family time. Weekends spent by the beach. Camping trips. Grilling in the backyard. I am so ready. Time gets so busy during the school months with sports, and homework, and just life in general. Slowing down to enjoy my family really is the best. There are a few staples I keep with me on summer days that make my life a little easier, and I like to call them my summer beauty bag essentials.
A girl always needs a good gloss. I like to keep a neutral gloss that will go with anything in my bag. It is really a no brainer. It never fails… As soon as I go out and about I always feel dry lips coming on so a gloss that doubles as a lip treatment is high on my list. ;)
A beachy fragrance is also a summer staple. Being outdoors in warmer weather can cause some mild (or heavy) sweating so the need to freshen up is more likely than other times of the year. I love that fragrances are so abundantly ready in rollerballs these days. They are the perfect bag-ready size and easy to apply without offending whoever is next to you that doesn’t want to be spritzed with fragranced.
Another side-effect of warm weather and sweating is the need to hydrate and refresh your face. I don’t usually keep a facial mist in my bag but during the warmer months I enjoy having something ready to spray on my face to cool me down.
Another thing I keep in my bag all year round are Poise Ultra Thin Pads and/or liners. It is no secret that I have two kids, but not everyone knows that both of them weighed 10 pounds at birth. Yep. 10 pounds just hanging out on top of my bladder for months. Unfortunately that has made light bladder leakage a real issue for me. To keep me covered in all situations I keep these in my bag. I am pretty much always stocked on them, but when I run low on “supplies” I pick them up at Walmart.
So tell me in the comments below! What does summer mean to you? What beauty products are essential?
