If there is one thing I love it is eyeshadows. I love them in all colors, formulas, and types. Eyeshadow sticks are some of my most favorites because they are so easy to draw onto the lid and blend out with a brush, or better yet, your finger. Some shades are even more versatile and can be used as highlights, eyeliners, or maybe even something more creative like brow pencil. The MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Sticks launching for Summer 2016 are pretty amazing.
I have 4 shades to show you: Bitter Clove, At The Beach, Midnight Shadows, and Sweet Viola. My picks from this collection offer a full range of options.
Bitter Clove is a dark, chocolate brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It is the epitome of a chocolate brown. Fantastic as a base and perfect as an eyeshadow or eyeliner. The pigmentation of this one is amazing. The color locks into place like you wouldn’t believe and wont move without some help.
At The Beach is a light, peachy beige with a pearly sheen and warm undertones. It is the one that I can see myself wearing most often. It is definitely the most neutral of all the shades and pairs well with all of them. This one is definitely a winner.
Midnight Shadows is a deep, purpled-blue with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. This one is stunning and I can see wearing it heavily in the fall. I tend to wear more jewel tones in the autumn months. This one pairs beautifully with the next one I am going to talk about.
Sweet Viola is a medium, lavender purple with warmer, pink tones and a pearly sheen. This one is so pretty that it makes me wanna burst out of my neutral eyeshadow routine every day. I have worn it twice now and I am obsessed with it.
When I attempted to wash these swatches off I did so with only a wash cloth and warm water and that proved quickly to be a bad idea. After a couple minutes of scrubbing this is what I was left with. Not much of a difference in pigmentation, just a little smearing. Each one of them held their own after being scrubbed vigorously. Pro Longwear is definitely a great name for them.
