If you are anything like me then you need all the short cuts you can get in your makeup routine. I have 2 kids that keep me pretty busy as well as a small business to run so there is little time to mess around most days. The great thing about spring is that bright lipstick shades are trending in full swing so you can play down the rest of your face which cuts down on time dramatically. Today I am collaborating with Burt’s Bees and EcoTools to bring you a 10 minute spring makeup look that you are sure to love!
The stars of the show are the brand new Burt’s Bees BB Cream, Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lipsticks, and a few fantastic Ecotools brushes. In case you are wondering which shade I am in the BB Cream I am shade light (because I am very pale), but they also offer Light/Medium and Medium. All of these items can be found in the beauty section at Walmart. Burt’s Bees is in the natural beauty section while Ecotools is in cosmetic accessories.
So let’s get started shall we.
1 Face | My skin is acting really great lately, probably due to the fact I am using more natural beauty products these days, so I don’t need a ton of coverage. I use the Ecotools Blending and Bronzing brush apply the BB Cream, a small bit of concealer to neutralize the dark circles under my eyes, and powder in my t-zone to combat oiliness throughout the day. The BB Cream offers instant, lightweight coverage as it firms and conceals to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles! Definitely what I need.
2 Blush | To add a little life into my pale complexion I choose a bright blush to blend into my cheeks. I used the same Blending and Bronzing brush from Ecotools that I applied the BB Cream. The brush effortlessly creates an even glow by sweeping blush softly over your cheeks.
3 Highlight | I use Ecotools Highlighting Fan brush to apply my favorite complimentary highlighter. I hit the tops of the cheeks, down the nose, and the cupid’s bow of the lips.
4 Brows | My brows are in bad shape. They are patchy and uneven so I fill them in with a brow pencil that matches my haircolor.
5 Eyeshadow | I use the Ecotools Eyeshadow brush and apply the highlighter I used on my cheeks onto the lids of my eyes. It is the perfect way to give your eyes life while also not fussing to find a million different products. What is even better is that it will surely coordinate.
6 Liner | I use a liquid liner to give myself a quick kitten flick. A full on cat liner look is fine too, but I want the lips to steal the show in this look.
7 Mascara | 2-3 coats of my favorite mascara is standard in all of my makeup looks. I look dead without my lashes.
8 Lips | Ah! The key component of this look is the bright lip. I am using the Burt’s Bees Magenta Rush lipstick with the Ecotools Detailed Lip/Liner Brush. When you are wearing a bold lip, precision is key so you definitely want to take your time with the lines of the lip color. Getting it perfect is worth the time. What I love most about these lipsticks is that they are available in 14 full coverage, satin-finished shades. They hydrate and moisturize the lips for up to 8 hours! WOO!
Now just take a look at the before and after pictures. They speak for themselves. On the before picture I look tired, my skintone looks uneven, and I don’t really look like I am actually ready to be wearing that smile. On the after picture I look polished, my skin looks great, and I look like I am ready to take on the day. That is the thing with a power lip, you always look like you mean business. ;)
The best part about this Burt’s Bees beauty routine is that it fits snugly into the Ecotools brush case that the 6 Piece Day-to-Night set came in. I can’t say enough good things about this 10 minute spring makeup look, I am so glad that the products that I used to create it are easy to find on the beauty aisles at Walmart because it is convenient for you to pick them up yourself and give them a go!
