Spring Break is just around the corner for so many of us and I for one am pretty excited about this year. Even though I am no longer school aged, my children are. This year for my son’s spring break we are planning a trip somewhere fun. Some place where our days will be packed with adventure. In order to be out and about all day long you have to have just the right things in your bag and today I am going to share with you my spring break handbag must haves!
For starters you need to have a bag that is roomier. You will be shoving all sorts of stuff in the bag throughout the day, whether it’s souvenirs, snacks, or just general things. You also don’t want to pack too much inside the larger bag to make room for those things so I try to keep the things I keep in my bag condensed, in quantity and size. The things in my bag need to pack a punch and truly be necessary.
First up we have our cosmetic needs. At least I do, because… I am girly. I must have a lip balm on me at all times. My lips get dry and if I am going to be outside then I need to protect them from the elements. I also know that after being out and about all day I need to freshen up so I need to have a rollerball of perfume in a scent that is uplifting and fresh. You don’t want to smell like the streets when you duck into a restaurant for a quick bite. Lastly I need a compact mirror. It never fails that I need a mirror for something or another if I don’t have one, so just always have one.
The essentials. First up, I need my agenda. I use my planner as a wallet and tuck my money, bank cards, and IDs in the pockets. I also keep lists of things I want to get done in my planner so having those lists to reference while we are tackling a new place is really important. Sunglasses are super important if you will be outside all day. My eyes are sensitive to light so even on cloudy days the sky is too bright for my bare eyes. Having my phone is a no brainer. I need to post my pictures from the trip to Instagram! I also like to have a change purse in my bag at all times. Some things in major cities require coins instead of cash, like parking meters.
Tampons are essential and I can never leave home without them. When I start my period it is always at the MOST inconvenient time and no matter WHAT I will always get stuck in public in desperate need of a tampon. These Tampax Pocket Pearl tampons are perfect for your handbag because they are the same great tampon that we have trusted for so long, only in a smaller more compact package.
The compact size of these is amazing. The easy-to-use click applicator is perfect and I am so happy that they are finally available. I would also like to make mention of the packaging itself. They don’t look like they would be tampons. The bright interesting patterns make them look a lot less inconspicuous among the other contents of my bag. I also really love a bright color palette, so there is that.
Tell me in the comments below, what are you going to be packing in your handbag for spring break?
