Question of the Week: What lip balm(s) do you reach for when your lips are in dire need of moisture/hydration?
I feel like I am sort of cheating with this one because while it is a highly concentrated balm it is actually a treatment for something else as well. The Guerlain Abeille Royale Honey Smile Lift Lip & Contour Sculpting Treatment (found at Nordstrom) has been my go to for about a month now and I am glad I have a moment to tell you guys about it. I am in my mid-3os now and I am noticing fine lines and wrinkles becoming more prominent and other areas like the lips aren’t as pump as they used to be. This treatment really helps with that.
Honey Smile Lift is Guerlain’s first multipurpose lip treatment that targets all signs of aging. Upon application, your lips appear plumper, contours are reshaped and lines are smoothed, creating a defined lip shape. Its concentrated balm formula is born from the exceptional repairing power of Ouessant honey and Royal Jelly, both exclusive to Guerlain, and has a gourmand fragrance with delicate honey flower facets done by Thierry Wasser.
Guerlain Royal Jelly is made exclusively in France and is combined with the purest black bee honey from the island of Ouessant to help correct visible signs of aging, including loss of firmness and wrinkles. Bee products are some of the world’s most effective natural healing substance. Guerlain’s research team has extracted the active power of bee products to create Abeille Royale, a skincare program with a repairing concentrate that stimulates key mechanisms of the healing process at every key level of the skin to continuously help repair wrinkles and loss of tissue firmness.
It is pretty amazing. I love that the applicator has a fingerprint indentation on it where you are supposed to press with your finger. When you press on this area it pushes product out to the hole on the other side and then you massage it into your lips. There is actually a treatment you can go experience yourselves at the Guerlain spa in NY!
I use it once a day in the evening so I haven’t had lips that were in bad shape in a long time. It is definitely my go-to balm.
