The new year is here and for me 2016 is the year of balance. Balance is the word that I chose to focus on for this year for many reasons. Last year my goal was organization and I personally think I knocked that out of the park, but amidst the organized life I felt like I got really overwhelmed with everything being so hectic. In turn, I made poor choices left and right. I thought about my health less, I wasn’t giving important parts of my life the attention they deserved. This year I want to make my family, business, health, and even my beauty routine balanced. I am pretty excited about these new lipsticks from Burt’s Bees because I love how they use natural ingredients in their products and their color selection is phenomenal.
The new Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lipsticks deliver lavish, bold colors that anyone will love. The ingredients they use in them are naturally moisturizing so they are going to love you right back. Burt’s Bees Lipsticks soften and condition your lips all day long because of their natural formula featuring Beeswax, Moringa Oil and Raspberry Seed Oil.
They have a smooth, satin finish and 14 different shades to choose from. Truly something for everyone. I tend to gravitate towards nudes 70% of the time but I find that a lot of nudes don’t really show up, they tend to be more sheer. Not these babies. Even the nudes have the same pigmentation as the darker, bolder shades.
The swatches below really show you just how pigmented they all are. Even the lighter shades. You know which shade I am really excited about? The darker one on the right! I rarely go into a chocolate brown lipstick shade but this one is calling me.
The swatches are in the following order: 500 Nile Nude, 501 Blush Basin, 502 Suede Splash, 510 Iced Iris, 511 Magenta Rush, 512 Fuchsia Flood, 514 Brimming Berry, 515 Tulip Tide, 520 Scarlet Soaked, 521 Ruby Ripple, 523 Sunset Cruise, 530 Lily Lake, 531 Juniper Water, and 532 Russet River.
On days where I don’t feel like putting a full face on I can just pop on one of these gorgeous lipsticks and mascara and hit the ground running. Adding a little beauty to my daily routine has always been the best way to get my creative juices flowing and that is just what it is going to take to help me balance my life this year.
Another important thing I want to point out about these lipsticks is that they hydrates and moisturize dry lips for 8 hours. It has been seriously cold here in WA (we are talking in the 20s) and my lips have been so dry. These have really helped keep them nice and soft. The Vitamin E is probably the reason for that!
If you want these they are Available at Target right now so run to Target and pick them up! They are amazing and you will definitely want to get your hands on your favorite shades ASAP! I am also super interested in trying the new Burt’s Bees BB Cream. It offers 9 Benefits in 1: Evens skin tone, moisturizes, protects with SPF 15, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, visibly firms, conceals, smoothes, perfects skin and illuminates!
Tell me in the comments below: Did you pick a word for 2016? If so, what was it?
