Today I am so excited to bring you something that I find SO IMPORTANT. Quick and easy mommy daughter hair dos! Sometimes you only have a few minutes to spend on getting your hair beautiful for a party or even just a day of shopping. I want something for myself that looks beautiful and sophisticated. For my daughter my ONLY GOAL is keeping the hair out of her eyes for a long period of time. These mommy daughter hair dos are perfect.
For both of these looks I am going to use beautiful Goody Headwraps, which are essentially just stretchy headbands.
I use these handbands all the time. Sometimes I am putting my hair up to put on my makeup and sometimes I use them to give myself a quick and easy rolled updo.
Rolled Updo Hair Tutorial
{one} Give your hair the part you desire. It can be a side part, middle part, or no part. It is up to you.
{two} Put the Goody Headwrap in place.Whereever you place it will be where it stays, so make sure you like it.
{three} Gather about 1-2 inches of hair in the front and begin to wrap the hair around the headband.
{four} As you get the hair and drop it through the band add more hair and wrap again. Continue until you get to the middle.
{five} Repeat steps 3 + 4 on opposite side. You will be left with a little pony tail action.
{six} Wrap the pony tail up into the headwrap and tuck it into the base. It is optional to secure it with Goody bobbypins, but not always necessary.
Once it is all tucked in I loosen the wrapped hair a little bit to create volume and make the rolled hair look a little more even. Also, pull some pieces out if you like. The undone updo is really pretty, carefree look.
If you have a daughter with lots of hair then you absolutely know that the struggle IS REAL. My one, solitary goal in her hair do/routine is to keep it out of her face. If I don’t keep it out of her face she will constantly be flicking it out of her face because it annoys her too. Not to mention the amount of food and yuck that will get into it IMMEDIATELY. I usually have a bow in her hair but sometimes I want something a little different and the Goody Headwrap is PERFECT.
Toddler Hair Do
{one} Brush through hair and get it nice and manageable.
{two} Put headwrap around her head while making sure the back is under her hair. Pull the headband up and get into place.
That was quick, right? haha I like this easy hair do because it isn’t hard to redo in a few seconds when they ultimately pull whatever that is in their hair OUT of their hair. If you want something more styled then you can do the rolled updo for them too.
Let’s talk about how cute all of the new stuff from Goody is really quick. Other than the headwraps they have gorgeous bows and hair elastics. Their recent stuff has my favorite color palette all over it which is pink, grey and black. Honest to goodness, those three colors is pretty much all I wear. The ribbon elastics are my personal favorite because they dress up everything from buns to ponytails.
Another thing I love about Goody is that I can find them everywhere. Whether you love shopping at Target, Walgreens, KMart, Amazon, Walmart or even Goody.com, you can always find Goody Hair Accessories. Tell me your favorite Goody hair tools or accessories in the comments below.
