In the last few weeks I have had a few new products show up on my doorstep and it just so happens that there was a common theme, which is coconuts. Because of it being winter, we are probably looking for more moisture in our face and body care routines or maybe even just longing for the summer to come back… Either way, there is obviously a coconut craze going on and I wanna show you a few things I have trickled into my own face and body products.
Face Products
First up is Yes to Coconut. You may know them by their popular line Yes to Carrots and you may also know they release different lines here and there. Coconut is their most recent release. There are three pieces in this line: the Souffle Moisturizer, Facial Mask, and Creme Cleanser.
Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer
The Souffle Moisturizer is so nice. It is extremely hydrating while feeling light and whipped. The texture looks like it would be dense but it is really soft and smooth. The scent, though it is coconut, is still fairly light and barely noticeable. I am not extremely dry so this isn’t necessarily targeted to me but I do like to put it on after I take off my makeup for the day because I feel like it replenishes my skin and adds some moisture back. The moisturizers in this are virgin coconut oil and shea butter.
Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask
The Facial Mask is excellent. I have used it several times now and it really surprises me because I typically try and use masks that pull out toxins and such but it is a fantastic change to be adding moisture. This mask contains virgin coconut and avacado oils and my face loves this stuff.
Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Creme Cleanser
I love cream cleansers. I personally double cleans and have since way before it was a “thing”. I learned from my grandmother that you first need to clean off the impurities (i.e. makeup) and then you want to cleanse the actual skin so that you can penetrate the pores and keep your skin looking younger longer. Thank you, grandma. This cleanses the skin using virgin coconut and chia seed oils. I personally have mixed feelings on this one. I like it as a second step in my makeup routine, but the cleansing factor in this isn’t enough to remove makeup. So if you like to double cleanse I say yes, if you do a one step cleanse then no.
Body Products
Aveeno is one of my favorite drugstore brands for my face and body care. Their products never upset my skin. That is a big statement and I 100% stand by that. They recently came out with their New Gentle Scent line and the Nourishing Coconut products are amazing.
Aveeno Gentle Scent Body Wash in Nourishing Coconut
This stuff is great. Aveeno Body wash is my favorite. It always leaves my skin feeling smooth, soothed and so soft. The scent of this one specifically is light, as it says, but it is absolutely heavenly. I used this on my daughter the other day because I couldn’t find her stuff at the time and the next morning when I went to wake her up she smelled like… ahhhh…. heaven. I just wanted to snuggle her so hard. Perfection. Get this PRONTO!
Aveeno Gentle Scent Lotion in Nourishing Coconut
This, just like the body wash, smells heavenly. I also love the light, non-greasy feel of this lotion. As soon as I get out of the shower I will smooth this over my body and I love that it doesn’t leave me feeling sticky. I can easily get dressed without feeling like I am stuck to my clothes. My skin loves it too.
Coconut Craze is okay by me. I honestly am really enjoying all of these products. I have been contemplating using coconut oil in my beauty routine for much more than what I was doing (which is essentially just my DIY Lip Scrub) and this obsession the beauty world has with coconut has taken care of that for me. You should definitely check any of these products out for yourselves. You wont be disappointed.
