Lately you may notice I am showing you guys a ton of holiday palettes and I am so excited to show you the Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector’s Set and Portable Palettes. What I love about gift sets like these is that they can be broken down and given as several different gifts, given all together or honestly you can keep them for yourselves and feel no guilt because the affordability of them is amazing.
The Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector’s Set and Portable Palettes contains 3 separate palettes, a mini size LipSurgence and a mini Tarte Camera Lashes.
Each individual palette contains 8 eyeshadows and a blush that are perfectly coordinated.
If you do plan on giving these as separate gifts then Palette 1 is the one that I would give to the makeup beginner. There are a lot of staple shades and overall it is the lightest and most neutral shades of the palettes included in this set. The 8 eyeshadows are Toasted Marshmallow, Cookie Swap, Vixen, Twinkle Lights, Chestnuts Roasting, Vio-let It Go, Spiked Cider, Dipped in Chocolate and a blush called Warmhearted.
If I were only going to keep one of the palettes for myself it would be the middle one, or for all intents and purposes, Palette 2. It has a few taupe and mauve shades and we all know that those are the ones that have my heart. The 8 eyeshadows are called Joy To The Pearl, Blush Stilettos, Glitzy Blitzen, Sparkling Punch, Waltz Of The Flowers, Rose Golden Rings, Rose Such A Clatter, Evening Affair and the blush is called Impress. I am sort of obsessed with the blush.
The last palette, Palette 3, is the smokier and sexier one. Definitely gift this one to the makeup adventurous friend that isn’t afraid to go bold but in all honestly it would be good for a makeup beginner too because there are still a lot of basics. The 8 eyeshadows are Cheers, Jingle All The Grey, Slate Bells Ring, Platinum Bling, Mint Sprig, Bedazzled Spruce, Smoke & Mirrors, Black Tie Beauty and the blush in this one is called Bubbly.
I haven’t really played around with any of them yet but I did actually show this on my Snapchat the day it came in, which I sometimes do. If you would like to see sneak peeks of products as they arrive on my desk you can follow me on Snapchat and Periscope. My username on both of those is LauraJean396. The name is one that I have had since my AOL days when I was in middle school and it just stuck. I am trying to break free from it with my Instagram name being @mynewestaddiction but Twitter doesn’t allow that many characters and BLAH. I am trying guys.
The Tarte Greatest Glitz set costs $49 and is exclusive to Ulta! I will likely try and film a couple makeup looks using these palettes so tell me in the comments below which palette you would like to see me do a YouTube video with! YAYYY YOUTUBE!
