Sometimes you just want to be in your comfort zone. To me that means neutrals and fabulous formulas. It means things that I can truly rely on and have relied on for a LONG TIME. Today I am going to take you through a few of my comfort zone makeup loves. Some are new but earned a quit place among my favorites and some have been there with me for 3 or more years.
Face
A few of the face products I use and love are the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in Light and the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer in SX05. I like the Skin Tint because it is super light and evens out my discoloration a little and anything major is completely fixed with the KA SSE. I usually do an all over dusting with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim. Sometimes it is a little dark for me so I concentrate it on the outer portions of my face to give a no-contour contour, if that makes sense. I then do some light bronzing with my Bare Minerals The Skinny Dip bronzer; this was a favorite when I was a makeup artist in the boutique. I have been loving adding a flush to my cheeks from the Guerlain Ors Et Merveilles Eye and Cheek palette. Fabulous.
Eyes
For eyes I really stick to neutrals. I usually lay down a shimmery base like the MAC Stroke My Ego paint pot and then do a light smoky eye with some pretty taupes and browns. I line my waterline with the Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil and then apply a couple coats of Too Faced Better Than Sex. It is amazing.
Lips
I usually keep my lips pretty bare or at least very minimal. I have a naturally mauve toned pout and I kind of like the color so I usually just apply Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Lip Balm or a pretty sparkly gloss like the NARS Soleil D’Orient.
Sticking to the things that you love and trust always makes for a worry free day. Just like I know that these makeup products are perfect for me because I have put them all through the ringer, I also trust U by Kotex with my other comfort zone needs.
Whether you need backup support or just want to feel fresh, these U by Kotex Lightdays liners have you covered. Stay-in-Place protection helps keep your liner comfortable and secure. They are ideal for light flow & tampon backup. Gotta love that.
So tell me in the comments below: what are a few of your comfort zone makeup products.
