So I am asked a lot what my work flow is for my Etsy shop. In case you guys didn’t know I create stickers and other planner supplies and stationery goods. Today I am going to walk you through how I fill an order from beginning to end and I hope that it somehow helps someone.
Step 1 || I first go through my open orders and see which stickers need to be created. I then print and cut what I need. Sometimes I make extra stock so that I can have them for the next time they are ordered and it will help me cut back on the shipping time.
Step 2 || I put all of my orders in a cellophane bag to protect them from possible water damage while they are in transit and then put then inside of a rigid mailer so that they don’t get bent.
Step 3 || I weigh each package on my DYMO scale and then input the weight on the Etsy shipping system and create my labels with the DYMO LabelWriter® 450 Bundle. Before I hit print I make sure I have the labels I want in the machine and all I have to do after that is hit the print button.
Step 5 || Attach the labels to the package. A long sheet of labels print out and and I just match the label to the package and ship them to my customers!
I used to actually print out my shipping labels on label paper and hand cut them and that took a lot longer than you may think, and also REALLY wasteful because I end up throwing away about half of the label sheet. Since I got this machine I can now attach all my labels in a couple minutes. It prints out SO FAST. It also doesn’t use ink because it uses thermal printing technology, so you will never have to worry about changing out any ink!
There is another product from DYMO that is also pretty cool, which is the DYMO LabelWriter® 450 Turbo. It can also be purchased online but it is available at some of your local Staples. The Turbo in the name means it can print even faster than the one that I have at 71 labels per minute, which is crazy. With this one you can customize and print address and shipping labels as well as file folder and barcode labels.
Even though the DYMO LabelWriter® 450 Bundle Pack is available primarily online at Staples it is also in-store at some Staples. You should see if you have it near you and you can check that right from the listing online. You could also use the store locator.
Inside the DYMO LabelWriter® 450 Value Bundle Pack they include a roll of LW Appointment Card Labels, LW Shipping Labels, LW File Folder Labels and LW Multi-Purpose Labels. You can use all of these different labels for a multitude of things like name tags, organizing files, putting labels on bins or jars. Soooo many options.
Be sure to go check back every week for Staples Daily Deals for special deals on your favorite DYMO LabelWriter® products including DYMO LabelWriter® 450 Bundle, LabelWriter® 450 Turbo, and LabelWriter® 4XL Turbo!
