You guys know that I am a huge fan of foundation. I value the look of pretty skin above any color product on the market. I do believe that beautiful skin actually starts with skincare but a fantastic foundation will elevate it to another level. That being said, I do actually prefer foundations that don’t look heavy and have a light to medium coverage because I like my freckles and such to peek through. That is exactly what I find to be true about the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation.
Developed specifically for the film and TV industry’s most advanced technology, Ultra HD Liquid Foundation creates a naturally flawless complexion—on and off camera. Completely invisible under the latest, super-focused 4k lens, this revolutionary foundation features uniquely-coated pigments that provide medium-to-buildable coverage with an even lighter weight, second-skin texture that looks just like skin. This lighter weight formula delivers the very same flawless results as before when applied with a flat foundation brush in a tap and stretch motion.
Long lasting with a natural-looking finish, Ultra HD Liquid Foundation is formulated with hyaluronic spheres to ensure comfortable wear on all skin types. Now available in an expanded range of 40 shades to match all skintones, it’s the perfect everyday foundation for a flawless complexion—and an unretouched life. With this shade range, you might find a better match to your skintone than before.
I am here to tell you that everything they claim is true. It offers a light to medium coverage that really goes on like nothing. I actually made a first impressions video and not only did it layer beautifully, it basically looked like it was one thin layer of foundation. In that video I didn’t use concealer and I actually used the smoothing base (which I realize I should have used the mattifying one) and you could still see my freckles and breakouts through it. I do like that my freckles were visible but I obviously will use concealer to cover up imperfections in the future. It has a ton of different shades in the line and I am willing to bed that you will find a perfect match. I give this an overall thumbs up and as long as you are looking for a skin-like light to medium coverage you will, too.
The Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer primers are something I have wanted to try for quite some time. There are 10 total, and I I received the ones that address the most skin issues: Nourishing Primer, Hydrating Primer, Smoothing Primer, and Mattifying Primer. Mattifying Primer reduces shine for oily skin. Smoothing Primer evens the skin’s texture. Hydrating Primer preps normal skin and restores balance. Nourishing Primer moisturizes and comforts
The two that will be most beneficial to me are the Smoothing Primer and Mattifying Primer. I think during the winter I will probably bust out the Smoothing Primer more and during the rest of the year I will stay true to the Mattifying Primer. I have a pretty oily T-zone and I think that this is really great for keeping my makeup looking good over top.
Go ahead and watch it in action on my First Impressions video.
