You guys know that I am all about the brows. Like for real. I think the topic I have covered the most on my blog is either brows and the importance of filling them in and my obsession with blush. HAHA Either way, Hourglass Cosmetics has you covered. I recently tried out a couple of the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencils and I felt like I just had to share them with you.
First of all, this pencil is a twist up, so no sharpening required, thank goodness. Maybe I am just spoiled but I hate having to deal with a sharpener. That is just me. The shape of the pencil is sort of a triangle. This isn’t the first time I have experienced a product with this shape. I actually have some Korean brow products that are this exact shape but the tones of the pencil itself are too greige for me to pull off.
The shades I have in the Horuglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil are Soft Brunette and Warm Blonde. I was immediately drawn to the Soft Brunette shade as I am a brunette and was hesitant to try the Warm Blonde BUT turns out that the Warm Blonde is a better match for my hair/brow color. That being said I find that when I use them both I get the most natural looking brows. I don’t like a super sculpted brow, which I know is hot right now. I personally prefer just to fill in my gaps and straighten out the line ever so slightly and call it a day. I do think that these types of pencils are best for a natural looking brow.
Warm Blonde is on the left and Soft Brunette is on the right. The opacity or pigment of the pencil really depends on the pressure you apply while using it.
So, as you can see from the before and after photo, the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil really does a great job at filling in. You may also notice that my entire eye looks lifted and more finished with just the added touch of the brow pencil. That, my friends, is the reason I put so much importance on filling in the brow.
