You guys know how much I love subscription boxes. I wanted to take a minute to show you the Dermstore Beautyfix box for August 2015. Better late than never right? Sorry for the delay; last month I was all over the place and life has only recently started to regulate and get more manageable. But what better way to celebrate than to get my BeautyFix on. This month’s box is focused on helping us find simple and customized solutions for breakouts, which would have totally helped me if I would have gotten to it before September started. I don’t know what on earth is going on with my skin but it is definitely breaking out a lot more than I usual. August was also Hair Loss Prevention month so there are some products to help out with that as well.
As we all know acne affects people of all ages and ethnicities. We all need antioxidants and skin repairing products. Anti-inflammatory products are also a plus. If we didn’t have those sort of products our skin would take longer to heal and is a lot more vulnerable to blemishes and damage in general.
All hair could use a little strength and I know mine could sure use some volume so I am glad to see some hair care products in here as well.
The Products
Paula’s Choice Clear Regular Strength Daily Skin Clearing Treatment
Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
Patchology Flashmasque Facial Sheet – Exfoliate
Glytone Mild Gel Wash
Medicell Labs Advanced Rednesss Relief Hydrating Cream
SmartFX SmartEye Wrinkle Lift
Keranique Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Conditioner
Alterna Daily Densifying Foam
Out of all of the products this month the ones I have tried and really enjoyed were the Alterna Daily Densifying Foam, Paula’s Choice Clear Regular Strength Daily Skin Clearing Treatment, Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash, and the Patchology Fashmasque Facial Sheets.
The Alterna Daily Densifying Foam contains Amino Acids and algae extracts that strengthen the roots so new hair resists fall out. I have a thick head of fine hair and I experience a ton of shedding so I like knowing I am helping keep it there as much as possible. LOL
I am a huge fan of Paula’s Choice so the Clear Daily Skin Clearing Treatment fit right into my normal routine. It contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and is perfect for my blemish-prone skin.
I have tried the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash in the past and it was fabulous, just like the name implies. I am saving this little bottle because we are traveling in a couple weeks for a wedding and this little baby is coming along with me.
I LOVE sheet masks and this Patchology FlashMasque Facial Sheet in Exfoliate is no exception.
Overall I am loving the box. Augusts’s Beautyfix was a little heavy on skincare for my usual taste, but considering my breakout issues currently I welcomed the new products. This box normally costs $24.95 per month for 6+ products, roughly a $100+ value, but you can get your first month for $12.48! Score!
