I love new soaps and hand creams so it is no surprise that I got my hands on some pieces from Caswell-Massey Vintage Florals. In case you aren’t familiar with Caswell-Massey they are America’s original purveyor of luxury personal care products and accessories. Before there was the United States of America, there was Caswell-Massey, America’s oldest operating retailer. Since its founding in 1752 in Newport, Rhode Island by Dr. William Hunter, Caswell-Massey has served a distinguished clientele including the Founding Fathers, the pioneers of Wall Street, and legends of art and film. Pretty amazing right. I hadn’t heard of them at all until recently but I am truly pretty impressed not only by their story but their products as well.
The first item I want to talk about is the Lilac Bath Soap. They are all-vegetable based for a rich, creamy lather that gently cleanses and maintains smooth skin. Infused with the sweet fragrance of Lilac, this soap is perfect for hand and body cleansing. I am actually a big lilac fan so I love the scent, but if you don’t enjoy the fragrance then you will probably not be a fan.
I know I have told you guys a THOUSAND times that I am obsessed with all things honeysuckle scented because of my childhood and living surrounded by them, but here is another product that is scented with the beautiful honeysuckle fragrance and I love it. The Honeysuckle Hand Cream from Caswell-Massey is perfect for chapped hands. This skin-nourishing hand cream contains natural oils and conditioning extracts of Witch Hazel, Calendula, Horse Chestnut, Chamomile and Grapefruit. It is a very luxurious hand cream, enriched with Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Vera for non-greasy conditioning that is free of parabens. You can see in the before picture that my hands look sort of scaly when they are dry and just minutes after it looks a lot smoother and has a pretty sheen.
Like I mentioned in the opening of this post, I am a fan of Caswell-Massey based on their history and these two products. You can find the Lilac Bath Soap HERE and you can find the Honeysuckle Hand Cream HERE.
