In the last few months I have gotten terribly homesick. I am sure most of you know this but my husband is in the Navy so we move around every few years. It has been over 10 years since I have lived near family, so when I say homesick I really just mean that I am missing the east coast. Specifically the southeast. When I start feeling down in the dumps I tend to partake in a little retail therapy. Something about hitting the town and giving my debit card a little action takes my mind off of the bad and refreshes me.
I just got in from doing some shopping and I thought I would dump my bag out and show you what was in it. I recently purchased a new handbag so there isn’t a ton in it at the moment. Don’t you love when you get a new handbag and you clean out all the junk? I know I do. It only takes a couple weeks for me to reach hoarder status again, so I had to do it quick.
First things first. I have my wallet. I feel that is probably no surprise since it holds all the pertinent information that I would need on a regular basis. Most importantly for shopping it has my debit cards. LOL
A coin purse. I used to have a very deep need for a coin purse at my last job because I basically lived out of the vending machine, but I really don’t need coins for anything anymore. Old habits die hard? Not to mention that it says “Addicted to Shopping!” so there is no way I could ditch it now.
A pair of earrings were already floating around the bottom of my handbag. After dinner a couple nights ago they were irritating me so I remember pulling them out of my ears and tossing them in the bag. Why? I don’t know. Sounded like a good idea at the time.
Pink Fluoro Filofax in personal size. It is my new precious and I am kind of obsessed. How could you not look at something this bright pink and not smile? Inside the planner I had some heart checklists and a crown pen tucked away. They are also really pretty so I thought I would share.
Last but not least are the new Rimmel London Lip Balms. The one that I have been using for the last few days is fittingly the one named Keep Calm and Shop. Go figure!
One of the reasons why I love these balms are the packaging. Each of the six lip balms has it’s own unique colors and graphics on the tube. I love when the packaging of a particular line (especially lip products) is distinguishable from one another because you can fish the right one out of your bag without having to open up the tube every time. And let’s just admit it, we all have more than one lip product floating around in our bag.
Something else that is pretty cool about these lip balms is the fact that they are extremely affordable. Each of these babies are a whopping $2.50 each. Can you believe it? What is even better is the fact that Walmart has a deal going on right now where you can save $1 when you buy two! So definitely grab them all! haha
There are 6 different varieties available. Keep Calm and love, Keep Calm and Shop, Keep Calm and Kiss, Keep Calm and Play, Keep Calm and Rock, and Keep Calm and Party. Check them all out for yourself and watch the quick video to grab your coupon! Which one do you like the most?
