“That time of the month” is so hard. It just is. It is a fact. We are uncomfortable. We are tired. We are grouchy. It all comes with the cycle. I find that it makes it a little easier to get through those rough times if I put forth a little effort to pamper myself. So this post is my Cycle Survival Kit. Whether you are a stay at home mom or a girl that is heading back to school these are all the pampering essentials you will need to make it through a little happier and feeling good about “the week”.
I am going to walk you through how to put a pampering must haves kit together for yourself so you will have #allthethings!
BASICS.
Pads are a must have and I recommend Kotex’s Cleanwear® Pad because they are thin, comfortable, and the packaging helps disguise them a bit.
Smooth lips are a must have for me and in general help me feel slightly made up without having a stitch of makeup on. I like to pick up eos Lip Balms up at Walgreens. My daughter always reaches for them and says, “Ball. Ball. Ball.” She knows the good stuff.
Shaving is always important. The Bic Soleil Bella razors are great and they come in pretty colors. Pretty colors are important. lol
PRIMPING.
Taking a little extra time to groom yourself is good for the soul and I just happen to really enjoy a good mani. I apply a cuticle cream several times throughout the day in an attempt to try to keep them looking good. And polishing my nails with my favorite color is always a good pick me up.
SKINCARE.
For one reason or another skincare is often not a priority for people. Especially when we aren’t feeling well and don’t want to move. I find that actually going through my regular skincare routine is a great pick-me-up and it actually benefits my skin. During “that time of the month” breakouts are more prone to happen so why not help prevent them by taking a little extra time with your skincare?
I also made this free printable for you that has the checklist of items as well as an image you can print out on label sheets or sticker paper to make yourself some stickers.
Now take all of these goodies and keep it in a cosmetic bag. I like to have one small enough to throw in my purse. If you are in school you can easily take the same bag and throw it into your book bag.
As I mentioned before I get all my basics at Walgreens. I go there all the time so it is easy to grab all of my essentials in one trip and right now when you buy $15 of participating U by Kotex / EOS / BIC products and get 3,000 Balance Reward Points! SCORE! Find more Cycle Survival Inspirations on the social hub!
How do you survive your cycle? I’d love to hear your best tip or favorite brownie recipe!
