Ciate London is a brand that I have been a fan of for quite a long time. They always have something clever and inventive or just plain ole beautiful. As part of their summer collection they came out with Precious Metal Eyeshadows and they are absolutely stunning.
In case you are wondering some specifics on what exactly Ciate London Precious Metal Eyeshadows are, they are a primer and pigment duo formulated to create Longwear Foil finish eyeshadow effects! They create metallic eyelids with a longwearing, mirror shine finish with this innovative Prime and Pigment duo! Smooth, perfect and prime your eyelids with the primer base. Layer the metal finish pearl pigment over the lids to create a longwearing foil-like look. You can use them without the special primer they come with as well for a more sheer finish.
Ocean Drive has a rose gold finish. I swatched it over the primer on the left side and on bare skin on the right side.
Washington Ave. is a yellow gold. I swatched it over the primer on the left side and on bare skin on the right side.
Lincoln Road is a gorgeous taupey bronze. One of my favorites. I swatched it over the primer on the left side and on bare skin on the right side.
Collins Ave is more of a burnished gold shade. Very pigmented. I swatched it over the primer on the left side and on bare skin on the right side.
Overall I think that these eyeshadows are great. When you layer them over the primer they really come to life and have a completely foil look. The primer it comes with is super emollient though and I find that longer wear on my oily lids creates some creasing. I did layer it over a few bases that work well on my oil lids and got a very similar effect. Great stuff. Check them out for yourself at Sephora.
