My biggest insecurity is my skin. I am acne prone with sensitive skin, and have tons of redness all over my face. I am especially red around my eyes and my nose. Sometimes when I am dissecting all of my #beautybloggerproblems I come to realize that my love for makeup actually spawned from covering up my problematic skin in my late teens with concealer and foundation and powders, OH MY.
But did you know that redness, bumps and pimples on your face aren’t always a sign of acne? They are actually similar issues that people with rosacea experience. Since the symptoms of rosacea, a common, chronic inflammatory skin condition, are different for everyone, and can often look a lot like acne, it really is important that you put down the makeup that you were covering it up with, and get to a dermatologist for specialized treatment methods.
Since facial redness is consistently my most irritating skin problem, I can really relate to the people with rosacea that suffer from that symptom. There is a Galderma product on the market to help with that specific problem for rosacea sufferers, and it is called Mirvaso® (brimonidine) topical gel, 0.33%*. Mirvaso Gel is the first and only prescription treatment specifically developed and indicated to treat the persistent facial redness of rosacea. Apply Mirvaso Gel to your face, evenly as a thin layer, avoiding the eyes and lips, once daily and it may start working in as little as 30 minutes. Mirvaso Gel won’t just cover up redness, it may reduce redness for up to 12 hrs. You can start the treatment process and no longer be a slave to your makeup, but first talk to your doctor to see if Mirvaso Gel is right for you Win-win!
By getting your rosacea under control, your natural beauty can shine through. So break up with your makeup and flaunt your gorgeous skin. And while you are sashaying all over the place you should hop on over to this awesome sweepstakes put on by Galderma Laboratories, L. P. They want you to vote on the no-makeup selfie and skin confidence story that you find most intriguing. Voting on your favorites (you can vote 1x per day) enters you for a chance to win one of three $500 gift cards!
