Hello everyone. I have been switching up my foundation routine lately and I thought I would update you. I am currently using a lot of lighter products but still achieving a medium to full coverage look and I actually achieve a subtle luminous glow by layering these products together. So without going into too much blabbering, here we go…
The first thing I do is prep my skin with Shu Uemura Stage Performer Instant Glow (found here). If you are not familiar with this product it is an immediate radiance skin perfecting cream. I have been using it off and on four a couple years now, I tend to gravitate towards it in the warmer months because I really like the finish it gives my skin. It contains Ginkgo Leaf extract to fight oxidation. and when you use it instantly skin appears more luminous, translucent and smooth. It also provides 24-hour lasting moisture. Love this stuff and if you have dry skin you definitely want to look into it. I am on the oily side and I really enjoy it too, but definitely something for my dry skin ladies.
Lately the Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturizer (found here) has really been doing it for me. It gives your skin a seamless, radiant glow and quietly underlines your natural beauty. The light texture is really refreshing because it has a high percentage of water and absorbs quickly, leaving an undetectible layer of light to medium coverage. A REALLY great tinted moisturizer.
For concealers the Clarins Instant Concealer (found here) has been a real favorite lately. I started using it when I did my 5, 10, 15 Minute Makeup routines and quickly realized that it is love. In detail it is a customized, tinted correction for all types of dark circles. It conceal shadows and signs of fatigue while restoring a natural skin tone to the undereye area. It has a long-lasting, fluid texture that blends flawlessly and smoothes eye contours. I think the thing I love most about it is that it is light in feeling but provides high coverage.
One of the key pieces to my subtle luminous foundation routine puzzle is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light (found here). The powders from the Ambient Lighting line are made to recreate the most exquisitely flattering light—from ethereal moonlight to luminous candlelight. Each powder captures, diffuses and softens surrounding light with groundbreaking Photoluminescent Technology. Sounds fancy but basically it is a powder (that I use to set my foundation) and it provides a very slight luminescent glow. It isn’t sparkly but it does provide powdered light.
