Mineral makeup has been a favorite of mine for so so so long. I actually used to work for a certain infamous mineral makeup line and that is when my love affair for it really bloomed. I saw mineral makeup transform the complexion of those with the most sensitive of skin that couldn’t wear makeup otherwise. When those ladies (and gentlemen, t00) would see themselves in a new way they would be moved; some were moved so that they’d be in tears when I was done with their makeover. As dramatic as it sounds, mineral makeup is a powerful thing. That is why I am so excited to Get GLOing with glo minerals!
glo minerals is a brand that is recommended by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and licensed skincare professionals around the world for camouflaging following microdermabrasion, chemical peels, waxing, cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures. It helps calm and soothe the skin and works well with all skin types, even those with super sensitive skin. The makeup contains an antioxidant blend of Vitamins A, C, E and green tea extract. It provides UVA and UVB sun protection while also being non-comodegenic and free of talc.
The products themselves are fabulous. One swipe over the eyeshadows and I have their full pigmented glory! And that is actually true throughout the whole line. The swatches L to R are the Candle Shimmer Duo, Papaya blush, Twig Eyeshadow, Haze Eyeshadow, Sand Pebble Eyeshadow, Orchid Eyeshadow and Suede Matte Stick in Bliss.
It is so easy to get a gorgeous look with glo minerals. You can get your GLO on by putting a little emphasis on the eyes, cheeks and of course the lips!
For the eyes
{one} Twig Eyeshadow
Carve out your crease using the eyeshadow named Twig. I don’t really have a natural socket bone (hello monolid) so I fake it!
{two} Orchid Eyeshadow
Orchid happens to be my favorite shade so I wanted to really play it up in the look by applying it all over the lid.
{three} Sand Pebble Eyeshadow
I like to add a brighter shimmery shade on the lower lash line. It helps camouflage my redness and adds an ethereal glow!
{four} Haze Eyeshadow
Go ahead and highlight your brow bone with the matte shade called Haze.
For the cheeks
{one} Papaya Blush
Using an angled fluffy brush, add a punch of color on the cheek and it will brighten up your whole face.
{two} Candle Shimmer Duo
Using the shimmer duo, whichever side suits your skin tone better, highlight the high points of your face. I highlighted my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, cupids bow and even the inner corner of my eyes.
For the lips
The lips is one easy step. Use the Suede Matte Stick in Bliss to go over your entire lip. You can use the point to line them if you want but I felt no need. It applied on super easy and NO WORD OF A LIE, it lasted me 5 hours without needing to touch up. 5 HOURS PEOPLE!!!!
I hope you love the look I created with glo minerals. I am in love! So get GLOing!
