Thank you Mazda for the opportunity to drive the Mazda CX-9. All opinions are my own.
You guys know I am getting to know my surroundings so I am back with yet another post about my adventures exploring the PNW. Pacific Northwest for those of you that aren’t familiar with the abbreviation. This time I was driving the amazing 2015 Maxda CX-9!
This was my 2nd week on Whidbey Island, which happened to be MUCH less hectic. Don’t get me wrong, I was still busy but the first week had me so whooped that I decided I really needed to do all the peaceful things I could. That included driving down to the beach on the Puget Sound to try and unwind. The Mazda CX-9 was the perfect vehicle for me during the 2nd week because while it still had a TON of room to fit things I was buying for the new house and the kids it felt like I was sitting in the lap of luxury, which pampered my worn out self.
This trip to the beach was just the best. The clouds were out, but so was the sun. The mountains in the distance really showed up and there was no haze. The waters glittered the reflection of the sun and the beach was perfect for walking. We probably spent 3 hours running up and down the beach playing with all the dogs that people had brought out for their walks on the gorgeous day.
I knew that the particular park we went to that day had picnic tables so I made sure to pack our lunch, which I grabbed out of the back of the Mazda CX-9. I want to talk a minute about the fact that this vehicle had 3 rows of seating, the third row was optional because it folds down. My son just HAD to sit in the third row the first day but I ended up folding down that row of seating so that I could fit larger stuff in the back.
Remember how I mentioned the car was like sitting in the lap of luxury? Well some of those luxurious features include blind side detectors, backup camera, navigation, and HELLO V-6! I cannot believe how powerful the CX-9 was all while driving smooth like a dream!
One really cool feature is the three zone heating. My husband and I never agree when it comes to setting the temperature in the car. He wants it cooler, I want it warmer and of course my 9-year-old-son-who-argues-like-a-teen is never happy with either of our choices from the backseat. I like that with the CX9 everyone can be happy!
The day I had to give the car back I was really upset. *covers my cars ears* I loved driving this so much that I am seriously thinking of trading in my car for this one. Insanity!
Tell me in the comments below: What kind of luxuries do you look for in your car?
