I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Dairy Queen. I received a product sample and promotional item to thank me for my participation.
A few days ago the weather was warm, the sun was out and all I could think about was taking the kids to Dairy Queen! As the warm weather approaches, there’s no better way to welcome spring than indulging in a sweet cold treat! Dairy Queen brings back really fun memories for me from my childhood. I can remember going there as a small child, with my friends in middle school and even on a date in high school. Coming full circle and taking my kids there was just so fun.
My husband raves about Dairy Queen’s Double Cheeseburgers so we all got one of those (except Rae who got a single) and Blizzards. We each got different flavors but the one that I chose was the Oreo Blizzard!
Because. OREO! Who can’t resist the classic Oreo Blizzard? So delicious and so yummy!
This April, DQ is celebrating its 75th “Fanniversary” highlighting its legendary Blizzard treat and is asking America to #GetUpsideDown. When Fans visit their local DQ restaurant and order any Blizzard treat during the month of April, it will be served upside down or it’s free on their next visit. Yep, FREE! But don’t get your hopes up because every time I have gone to a Dairy Queen for the last year or more they always flip it before handing over the goods. My son about has a heart attack each and every time. haha
DQ invites America to test DQ employees’ flip skills and reach 15 million Blizzard treat flips throughout the month. Not sure if you know this or not BUT Dairy Queen actually invented soft serve ice cream which lead to the thick and creamy Blizzard treats.
So definitely don’t forget to visit Dairy Queen for a fun outing throughout the month of April and celebrate their Blizzard #GetUpsideDown promotion in partnership with Oreo. Find a store near you! And follow Dairy Queen on Facebook and Twitter!
Tell me in the comments below: What is your favorite Blizzard? Oreo? A creative mixture of your own?
