The movers have been here all week packing up all the things, but there are a few things they don’t actually transport. To name a few: makeup, perfume, and booze. I was going through my liquor cabinet and found a bottle of champagne, a bottle of white wine, a bottle of Perrier, and I had some fresh fruit in the fridge so I decided that I would make an easy white wine sangria recipe that everyone could enjoy!
The fruits I had in my refridgerator were oranges, grapefruits and blueberries. I had some raspberries that would have been a great addition but they were starting to be iffy, so I tossed them. Strawberries would have been amazing, too!
I stuck all the sliced fruits and blueberries into my pitcher that I got from World Market and then poured some of my low calorie simple syrup over them followed by a couple of cups of sparkling water. In case you are wondering, the stand that my pitcher is sitting on in the first picture is from World Market as well!
I then poured in a whole bottle of white wine and a whole bottle of champagne. I love the way champagne makes the little air bubbles all over everything. It is so pretty, seriously. Everytime I make myself a glass of champagne I stare at the bubbles all day.
I then let it sit and the juices from the fruits blended in with the boozy liquids. The citrus mixes so well with the champagne and the white wine itself was particularly fruity so it all worked well together.
I made myself and my husband a glass and we took a break from packing #allthethings. We sat in the garage looking into the neighborhood and talked a little bit about leaving Florida and the great unknown… Sometimes it is good to kick back and take it all in.
