Sometimes playing in the area of my mind where my 7 year old self lives is the best. Everything was pure fun back then and we completely indulged our imagination. Cartoons were (and still are) a big part of my life. I have always loved animation and I think it is because it allows me to actually see those creatures that live in my imagination. My favorite movie from my childhood is actually adapted from the Peter S. Beagle book titled The Last Unicorn. Oh man, I was obsessed. I even remember being at my grand dad’s house and him giving me a ‘The Last Unicorn’ coloring book. It was a day of awesome.
My grown up self has left coloring books behind (or have I?) and I have now moved onto other little indulgences and Black Pheonix Alchemy Lab has helped me do it. They released an entire collection of Fragrance Oils featuring characters and such from the movie. I honestly want to own each and every one.
In case you didn’t know: The Last Unicorn, the star of the movie, actually turns human in the movie due to magic. After she turns human she is then known as Lady Amalthea, which is essentially an alias so people wont know her true identity. If you haven’t seen the movie you totally should. I think there are a lot of parts of this movie that would appeal to adults!
The cartoon version of Lady Amalthea is gorgeous and I like the idea of knowing what she may have smelled like. The fragrance oil is quite intoxicating. It is described as follows: “A luminous white winter musk with lilac, wisteria, white chocolate, white mint, and tuberose”. YASSS! I am completely obsessed with it and I think you MUST sniff this. Be on the lookout for an upcoming giveaway (it is up right now) that myself and my fellow Lipstick Leaguers are putting together. It is going to be pretty epic! Check out the fragrance on BPAL’s website in the meantime!
