You all probably remember my post back in November clueing you in on my secret to thicker hair. Well, today I am back to show you my results. I finally completed the two pack or Rogaine for Women and have actually repurchased. But before I go into the results pictures I want to give some details on the products, in case this is the first time you are reading about my thicker hair journey.
Women’s Rogaine is an undetectable, easy, one time a day use foam. There is no greasy residue left in your hair, which is always a plus. It is a clinical solution to my thin hair problems, which has been much more effective than the revolving door of plumpers, volumizers and thickeners. The only things I have been using in addition to Women’s Rogaine lately is the Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo and the Aveeno Nourish + Condition Leave-In Treatment.
I have always had scalp build up, at least for the last few years, and I didn’t really know what to do. I tried different clarifying shampoos thinking that would do the trick but nothing has compared to how clean my scalp feels now that I discovered Neutrogena T/Sal! Also, I mentioned in my last Women’s Rogaine post that I was using Aveeno Leave-In for my split ends and I am happy to say that it is still working great!
On to the results… I had a TON of new growth after the first few weeks. A lot of that new growth has actually grown out and blended into the rest of my hair but you can catch a glimpse of some new sproutlets every now and then. They look sort of crazy in this last shot but I left them that way just so you could see them. I actually just smooth the Aveeno Leave-In onto them using my finger tips and they usually lay right down.
New Growth Tip: One way I got through the super awkward new growth stages was to pull my hair into the front section of my crown into a half up do. It minimizes the look of the short hairs because they are pinned back!
A big change you probably notice is that I chopped all my hair off. I think I have always hidden behind long hair because of how thin it was at the top. As soon as I started seeing all of this growth I felt inspired for a big change. TA-DA! I cut about 12 inches off! I can’t believe it myself!
I mentioned in early January on my Instagram account that there was a coupon in the paper for $10 off Rogaine on 1/4/15. Right now there is also a $10 instant coupon on the shelf in Walmarts, as well as a $10 mail in rebate during the month of January!
I plan on continuing to use Rogaine for Women as a part of my daily hair regime to thicken my hair because it really gets to the root of the problem and I am so impressed with the results. My husband was so impressed that he went out and got the version for men and he has also seen TREMENDOUS results.
Tell me in the comments below: What are some styling tips you use for getting through new growth? What are you doing for thinning hair?
