So when I was trying to pick my favorite blush and highlighter of the year it was really a daunting task. One of my main addictions is blush. Blush and Eyeshadow Palettes overwhelm my stash like no other. After plundering through the drawers I kept grabbing one over all others and THAT is Laura Mercier Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc. I think the deciding factor in naming this my favorite is the fact that it is so multifunctional. Gorgeous, too.
The Pink Mosaic blush offers 4 shades; a light pink, warm red, brown pink, dusty pink. You can swirl them all together to create a truly beautiful shade or use them individually to really make one shade stand out over all others. If you are like me you might want to customize it even further by mixing the two darker shades for blush and then using the light pink or brown pink onto the cheekbones to highlight as well. I even like this as a subtle eyeshadow, but that is a whole different topic of favorites.
Each of these shades on their own are beautiful and so completely pigmented. They really do look a lot like I would imagine a shimmery eyeshadow. The texture is finely milled enough that it sits beautifully on the cheek.
The light pink is my absolute favorite shade for highlighting. There is something about a shimmering icy pink!
Laura Mercier created Shimmer Blocs to add a youthful glow to the face and body. It’s wearable pearl leaves skin gleaming without being too frosty or metallic. It reflects light and really brightens up your complexion. There are two other shades in the line that I want to pick up in addition to the Pink Mosaic. They are Gold Mosaic and Peach Mosaic. Each are in a similar set up. You can find these at Sephora if you are interested!
Check out what my fellow Makeup Warriors picked for their favorites. Get ready to drool, I am sure!
