Since today is December Beauty Favorites in my January Beauty Instagram challenge I wanted to show off all of my very favorite items for the last month of 2014. A lot of these things are brand new to me in the month of December and some are tried and true products that have lived in my stash for months if not years. So let’s get right into it.
The first two things in my list has been a favorite for months, not just in December Beauty favorites. Ever since I opened my first tube it has been a love fest. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara has never let me down. It volumizes, lengthens, and separates the lashes perfectly every time. There is nothing like it out there. I have other mascaras that I enjoy, but when I want to look my best Too Faced Better Than Sex is the only one for me.
Gerard Cosmetics 1995 Lipstick was created to be an exact match for that Kylie Jenner lip that everyone is craving. I say they hit the nail on the head because it is pretty damn amazing. It is a color that I probably actually did wear in 1995 and will continue wearing until I am old and gray! It is that perfect burgundy, brown. If you want a Marsala lipstick, then you need to pick this baby up!
IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe® Double Airbrush Foundation Brush has been my GO-TO holy grail brush of the moment. It can do no wrong. It works with every single foundation medium from light powders to thick liquid foundations. I am just amazed. It has been in heavy rotation in my stash for the entire month of December.
Laura Mercier brushes are fantastic. I have been using this dual ended flat shader/ponytail brush constantly for about 2 years now. I try not to talk about it constantly but its the only brush I use on a daily basis for my eye makeup. I usually throw in a MAC 217 or similar dupe just for more detail work and that is about it. I feel like it is my first “Hall of Fame” item. I will cry if I ever lose it or it stops being awesome. Cry or buy another! lol
Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows have been a favorite of mine for years and years but two new ones that made their way to my stash (via a Hautelook sale) are Solstice Halcyon and Bohemian Waxwing. I have been sweeping Solstice Halcyon all over my lid and blending it out with the other one in the crease. One is more cool toned and one is warm, but when they are combined their subtlety creates a very netural eye that can be worn with anything. I have been prefering to pair it with pretty fierce winged liner. I have actually been pulling Angelic Cockatiels out to highlight the inner corner of my eyes with. This has
Laura Mercier Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc was just named my favorite blush of 2014. I have been wearing it nonstop in the month of December too. I love a pretty shimmer on my cheekbones and this just illuminates and beautifies. LOVE.
The Vincent Longo Gel Creme Eye Liner is amazing. It has a very different consistency than anything else I have ever used. It is like liquid and gel and cream eyeliners came together to be awesome. When you draw it onto your eye it goes on like silk and sets into budge-proof, matte finish perfection.
I have also talked a lot about The Gnarly Whale lately and this Peppermint scented Beach Waves spray is perfect for rocking that messy, wavy hair look that is always in style. Peppermint really refreshed my senses and is totally unexpected.
The Tory Burch Robinson Open Dome Satchel is my newest, MOST FAVORITE BAG OF ALLLLL TIME. Probably the nicest bag I have ever owned as well. It has all sorts of organization built right in and is just too awesome. It technically may not fit into December Beauty because it isn’t makeup, but it is beautiful! ha
There is a center pouch that zips with sections on each of the sides being their own compartments. There are also little side pockets to hold my cell phone and maybe a pack of gum or something. IDK! I love it. It is amazing. There is also zippers on each of the sides to expand the center if you choose to.
My favorite song of the moment is Bruno Mars Uptown Funk. I actually think the song is Mark Ronson, but it is all Bruno so it is his. I said so.
So those were my December Beauty favorites (plus a handbag and music), what are yours? Tell me in the comments below!
