Helloooo. One thing that I love to do here on My Newest Addiction is talk about my biggest addiction ever: NEW THINGS! ha I am always curious about the latest and greatest and I am sure you are too if you are reading this right now. Today I am talking all about Covergirl and their new Full Lash Bloom line. There is a Full Lash Bloom mascara and a palette that has the same name. There is also a brand new, VERY INTERESTING eyeliner!
Let me start out by saying that this mascara is fabulous. I used it in my most recent YouTube video and was quite shocked at the quick and easy results. You can watch that video by clicking that link. I actually play with all of the goodies from this post.
The Stunning Smokeys eyeshadow palette in this Full Lash Bloom collection looks super pretty. It has all the makings of a truly great neutral eyeshadow quad. There is an ivory shimmer shade, a champagne tan shimmer, a satin matte grey, and a dark shimmery charcoal. The fingertip swatches of this are FANTASTIC but I ran into a LOT of trouble using the satin matte grey. It seemed to just slide right off my lid when I was moving the brush around and it doesn’t transfer into an arm swatch very easily. I played around with it more and more and I was able to achieve a decent look.
The Bombshell Pow-der Brow + Lash by Lashblast is a powder eyeliner/brow product that is applied with a strange litle doe foot. It is like nothing I have really ever seen before. I will say that there is some fall out, or at least I managed to have some. I wasn’t being careful when I was applying this and had quite a bit of excess product on the doe-foot applicator and it fell onto my face. Luckily I was able to get rid of it pretty easily. All of that drama aside, I LOVE this eyeliner. It created a smudgy liner look really easily, though I DID need to use a brush to help with that. I have the black shade so I wasn’t able to test it for brows, but I can see a lighter shade working wonderfully.
All of the items swatch out really nicely. The liner is super dark and sooty and the eyeshadows are mostly shimmers. That one gray shade just doesn’t swatch evenly. The shimmer shades in the palette are seriously amazing though. I would like to see a nice medium toned brown in this palette and it would just be amazing.
Overall, I am a fan of the mascara, the eyeliner and half of the eyeshadow palette (the lighter two shades) so I think that it is pretty dark good as a whole. I would be interested in trying a couple of the other quads to see if all the mattes in this range are the same.
