Question of the Week: What’s your current favorite top coat and how long have you been using it for your manicures?
I change what top coat I use based on the finish I want to achieve as well as the way I am feeling that day. I mean… I am female which means I can change my mind whenever I want, right? That being said, these are the top coats I have repurchased time and time again as well as some that I have been using for months. All of them are the best top coat in my eyes.
Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat
This is a polish that I have been loving and mentioning here on the blog since September 2011. The Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat review I did was quick and simple at only three short paragraphs but those three paragraphs said it all. It is a miracle product for people with nails that bend and break easily. It is technically marketed as a base coat, but I personally like using it as both base and top coat. I feel like it is the best top coat for all general purposes. You can find it at Sally Beauty.
Seche Vite
This little guy has been my most repurchased nail product ever. It really helps my mani last days longer than it normally would BUT I prefer to use this on my toes. It can make polish last on my toes for two weeks. I KID YOU NOT. It is the craziest thing ever and I LURVE it. It is the best top coat for my feet! You can find it at Sally Beauty.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
This one is the newest in my collection. I think it is a great option for those of us that want a gel mani but don’t own the light system and don’t WANT to own the light system, therefore the best top coat. You can purchase it here.
Nails Inc London Matte
Matte is one of my favorite finishes. I love seeing those glossy on matte french manis or just a frosted glass look in general. It is so pretty and easy to get with this top coat. It is the best top coat in the matte category. You can find it on Amazon the cheapest.
