I suffer from oily skin and when I was younger and less educated on oils I always assumed that oils + oily skin = terrible problems. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I have learned a lot about oils over the last few years, but mostly just not to be scared of them. I want to share with you 5 Amazing Beauty Oils for Skin and Hair, what they do, and how to use them.
The majority of these I use on their own as well as including them in DIY face masks and scrubs. Many of these oils provide way more than just moisturization. Lots have antioxidants, anti-bacterial properties as well as fight acne. HELLO. Acne fighting characteristics are music to someone with oily skin’s ears.
Coconut Oil
All purpose beauty oil! Sleek hair, stronger nails, and softer skin. I have used coconut oil in several DIYs. Like the DIY Lip Scrub I created using just coconut oil and brown sugar.
Argan Oil
A great source of antioxidants and highly moisturizing! Perfect for smoothing ends of your hair and slathering all over the skin. In fact this is one of the most popular oils in mainstream skincare today.
Olive Oil
Provides wonderful moisturization, has regenerative properties. Treats skin irritations and packed full of vitamin E and antioxidants. I personally LOVE olive oil for makeup removal! If you don’t wanna shell out a lot of cash for a cleansing oil, then go to your kitchen pantry.
Jojoba Oil
Contains powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Regulates sebum levels and provides excellent moisturization which results in balanced and clear skin.
Grape Seed Oil
Great moisturization, firms the skin and also contains anti-inflammatory properties which helps prevent acne. This is one that I don’t have much personal experience with but is DEFINITELY on my list for experimentation purposes.
So tell me in the comments below: What kinds of beauty oils have you tried and what is the way you use them!
