Winter has officially set in here in Florida, I think. It was hot and cold and hot and cold, but now its mostly jus cold. My skin is drying out and I feel like my legs and arms are getting scaly. My lips are starting to chap and feel a little raw. It is time for moisturizing and exfoliating. I have been playing with two products from the Teadora Rainforest at Dawn line and I think I kinda love them.
The Nourishing Lip Butter is a whopping .5 oz of product. That may not seem like a lot, but when you think about how a foundation is usually 1 fl oz and this is half of that… that is a lot of lip product. This little baby is packed with antioxidant and vitamin-rich Buriti, Brazil Nut, Andoriba, Maracujá (Passion Fruit), Açaí oils, Cupuaçu, Murumuru, Mango butters plus Carnaúba Wax. It has a delicious citrusy flavor called Laranja, which means orange in Portuguese! It claims to provides light exfoliation and intense hydration for your lips.
I want to say that even though this is called a lip butter, I would probably just call it a nice balm. It feels really great on the lips but the texture is harder than I imagine a butte to be.
The Nourishing Body Polish is packed with antioxidant as well. It is also chock full of vitamin-rich Buriti, Babassu, Brazil Nut, Rose Hip Seed, and Maracujá oils, plus potent exfoliants such as Açaí Seeds and Amazonian Clay. It is a nice, gentle exfoliant that removes dead skin while providing amazing hydration for brighter, healthier, smoother skin. There are two sizes: 6 oz for $34 and 1.5 oz for $10.
Overall I really love the Teadora Rainforest at Dawn line. The lip butter and the body polish work together to be the best duo for the perfect winter pick-me-up!I think that the Nourishing Lip Butter is my favorite because of a few different things: the scent, the flavor, and my lips always feel so smooth and hydrated afterwards.
Tell me in the comments below: what do you do in the winter to stay smooth and hydrated?
