There is nothing more sacred than the combination of popcorn and M&M’s® on a movie night. I mean, what is better than the combination of the salty popcorn with the sweet candies? Well, how about combining them into one delicious bar! My recipe for Peanut Butter M&M’s® Popcorn Bars is probably the most delicious thing I have eaten in the last couple of months. It is also super simple, quick and easy.
Oooooo… Ahhhhh…..
For this recipe you only need 3 ingredients: Peanut Butter M&M’s®, Orville Redenbacher Popcorn (because it is the best), and marshmallow creme. I popped my container of marshmallow creme in the microwave for about 30 seconds. I watched it very carefully so that it didn’t make a mess. Once I saw it rising over the edge of the container I pulled it out. It doesn’t need to be LIQUIFIED, just warm so that it is easier to work with.
Pour the marshmallow creme over your popcorn and fold so that you coat the popcorn as easily as possible.
I poured the Movie Theater Box of Peanut Butter M&M’s® into the bowl to fold them into the mixture.
And once they were pretty evenly distributed I transferred everything over to a 9×9 pan. IF you wanted to just make popcorn balls from the mixture you would just need to roll the mixture into little balls and put them on wax paper so that they could set. I wanted squares, which is why i chose a square pan.
Wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to let the marshmallow creme set back up and stiffen. It wont be completely stiff, but it will be good enough to bind all the ingredients together.
And now you are ready to cut them into squares. We are actually watching Warner Brother’s Harry Potter so my intention was to cut these into the shapes of lightning bolts, but my husband and son sort of invaded the kitchen and I was left with not much to work with by the time they were done.
Right now there is a pallet at Walmart where you can find all of the things to create your Movie Night For Less! It is full of Warner Brother’s movies®, M&M’s®, and Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn! I got my Harry Potter DVD for $5! This is a list that shows you where all of the stores that have these pallets are located. These pallets can be located anywhere: near the front, near electronics, near the candy aisle! So be sure to ask someone that works there so they can direct you immediately!
