I am a World Market Ambassador. The contents, creations, and opinions in this post are my own.
My son is in the 3rd grade this year, and this year has been a doozie so far. I don’t know if it is just him or if it is all kids at that age, but he has stopped being as mindful as he once was and is getting to a little trouble here and there. Nothing major, but he is definitely getting older. This is also the first year that he has two teachers and switches classes throughout the day. I thought that would really create chaos in my life, but honestly… these teachers are as good as gold. I don’t think I have ever experienced two teachers that were better at communication in the years that “T” has been going to school. I want to Share The Joy and create them The Perfect Teacher Gift Basket to show them I am thankful for all they are doing!
I am taking this opportunity to share with you my gift ideas for The Perfect Teacher Gift Basket because I used to struggle with what to give teachers and I am sure that there are others that struggle as well. Gift baskets are pretty easy once you define a few things. First off all you need to determine who the gift basket is for and think of reoccuring themes that pertain to them. For teachers I immediately think of supplies like colored pencils, bells and timers. Though a gift basket full of supplies isn’t exactly a treat, World Market has a fabulous selection of things just like that with a whimsical touch. Definitely throw in some delicious snacks and accessories, too!
For starters, I thought these mugs with a chalkboard thought bubble on the front were perfect for teachers, because CHALKBOARD! I love chalkboard anything and right now it is so on trend, so it will be easy to find. I popped in a few different hot chocolate pouches and stirrers so that they can steal away a moment for themselves while immersed in a sea of children all day.
These other supply type items are so adorable. I included a bell; not only is this super cute, but they are effective in getting kids to quiet down when needed. I thought the hourglass was a nice touch. Something pretty to look at while sipping hot chocolate and administering a pop quiz! This set of colored pencils that look like sticks were too cute to pass up. The paperweight and the sticky notes are a must. I am a sticky note junkie, so I try and push that off on everyone else in my life, too! ha
Pampering needs to be involved in the basket. I am giving my teachers hand cream and candles. Luxuriously soft hands and some aromatherapy go a long, long way.
World Market has the best accessories, so I grabbed some cute bracelets and earings to gift them. I am also including a cute elephant ring holder (to hold their rings while they are applying the hand cream) and a hand carved jewelry box. They will more than likely be taking these things home, but they were gorgeous and I know they will love them.
And last but not least, give the gift of chocolate. Chocolate is my love language and I think my son’s teacher speak it too! Chocolate is always among my top picks for gift baskets.
