I have been saying for years that I wanted to play with color in my hair, but in reality I am such a simple person that I would hate myself for fully committing to a color. Probably the very next day. I recently discovered the Redken Color Rebel Hair makeup and I am completely excited to experiment and wash it out. Yep, it is essentially a temporary liquid hair color that applies on easily and washes out after a couple of shampoos.
So, the way to use it… It comes packaged up in a box. You take off the cap, remove the stopper and then place the sponge into place. You have to push it all the way down to make sure the sponge is “attached”. You will definitely know when you got it in all the way. There is a line on the sponge that sort of disappears.
Once you get the sponge on, put the cap back on and shake the Redken Color Rebel. Once you are sure it is completely mixed up just twist the top until you start seeing the color coming through the sponge. Twist enough into the sponge that it will easily transfer onto your hair.
I wanted some streaks, or highlights if you will, through the crown so I took a few chunks of hair and colored them just like I would with a marker. It dried super fast and then I brushed through my hair as instructed. The end results were pretty awesome.
I honestly didn’t expect the color to show up so well on my dark hair, but you see it for yourself. I got really great results with really little effort. That was my first try too, so I can only expect that it will get better after I “master” it. I am completely loving the Redken Color Rebel Hair Makeup. You should try it for yourself!
