I get asked on a regular basis from people online and in person, how I do my brows. Well, first let me tell you why I am so insanely serious about my brows.
The most important part of my makeup routine isn’t lipstick or mascara, it is actually correcting and filling in my brows. My natural brows are thin, misshapen, missing hairs all over the place and asymmetrical. I look like a completely different person if I skip the brows altogether. And an even more important thing for me is that I have to do my brows before I do anything else. The brows frame the face, they give the face structure. If my brows aren’t done my entire routine is thrown off. Today I am going to use the Paula Dorf 2 + 1 For Brows and the Perfect Brow Brush. Inside the 2 + 1 For Brows you have 2 flattering brow colors and 1 light wax.
Paula Dorf is famous for trademarking unique “trick” products that offer solutions to every woman’s makeup concerns, such as Transformer (from eye shadow to liquid liner), Perfect Illusion for lips (ends feathering lips), Perfect Illusion for eyes (smoothes skin), Perfect Primer (keeps foundation fresh), Enhancer baby eyes (brightens eyes) and Clean-Up Stick (erases makeup mistakes). The shade that I have is Brunette. I have darker hair and I prefer a stronger brow, so I opted for this shade but they make a few different colors so everyone should be well covered.
The sun was playing tricks on me when I was taking these photos, it was popping in and out, so some of the pictures make it look warm and some make it look cool. I think that one of them is quite cool and one is quite warm, so depending on your needs, you are covered. And just look at those finger swatches. Very creamy and pigmented, so start out my using a small amount.
And now for the tutorial… You are going to laugh when you see just how easy and simple this is.
{one} Use the Perfect Brow Brush to apply a thin layer of the wax over the brows. I do this step first because it sets up the hairs and makes them behave as well as gives the powder something to stick to.
{two} Wipe off the brush and then dip it into the powder that best suits you. Start at the bottom of your brow and draw straight lines. You may need to go outside of your natural lash line a bit to get the perfect line, but that is ok.
{three} Do the same thing to the top of the brow. This side is where I have the most problems so I have to “fake it” the most on this part.
{four} Take the same color and lightly fill in the middle of the brow with short strokes until you get an even look.
{five} Blend with a spoolie.
{six} Done!
See, I told you that you would be SHOCKED at just how easy this is! Right now when you buy the 2 + 1 For Brows se code BROWBRUSH for a free Brow Brush! Tell me in the comments below: What part of your makeup routine could you ABSOLUTELY NOT skip?
