Eyeshadow is definitely my weakness. I love playing with eyeshadows and techniques. I also love trying new brands. Plain Jane Beauty has a fairly large line of beauty products. Today I am going to show you a few eyeshadows. The are sold individually, but they do have pre-selected quads and the one I have to show you today is called Bollywood.
Right now when you buy a quad they are giving you a palette that holds 8 eyeshadows. It is a nice gesture, but I would have preferred to have a palette that held only 4.
The Bollywood quad consists of these four eyeshadows. I am going to go in clockwise order according to the picture above starting with the top left.
52 – Oasis Flower is a flat light pink shade with a semi-satin finish.
8 – Lava Cake is a shade that looks like it would be a cool brown, but in reality it has a really warm chocolate tint.
5 – Earth Element is a pink champaign with a good amount of shimmer.
17 – Golden Celebration is exactly what it sounds like. It is a coppery gold shade that is very shimmery.
The swatches show that there is some fall out, but when you apply the eyeshadow with a wet brush that minimizes it. The two shimmery shades have great color payoff whereas the satin shades struggle to show, especially the Oasis Flower shade.
I do like the eye look that I created out of this quad. I would have liked it more had the Lava Cake shade been a little cooler and a slightly darker. It would have added the depth that is required to make this a palette that I would reach for every day.
The Plain Jane Beauty Bollywood quad is a nice set of shades that just about anyone could wear. It leans to the warm side. Overall I think that this quad is nice. The Golden Celebration shade is downright phenomenal. I am giving them a B- but all opinions may very so definitely check them out for yourself.
