Exfoliation is a part of my regular skincare routine and Dermalogica is one of my favorite brands so when the two marry it is perfection. The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a fantastic rice-based powder that you add a little water to and then rub into your face. The texture is very gentle with just a little grainy-ness but it is actually a mild chemical exfoliant, not physical.
“Gentle, daily use exfoliating powder for all skin conditions. Unique Rice-based powder formula activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter. Our unique Skin Brightening Complex helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation while a super-soothing blend of Green Tea, Ginkgo and Colloidal Oatmeal helps to calm the skin, leaving it extraordinarily clear and refreshed. Gentle enough to use on a daily basis. Not recommended for users of medically-prescribed exfoliation products. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors.” – Dermalogica
I like that the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is totally customizable due to your preferences. You can add more or less water depending on how intense you want the treatment to be. The more water you add, the more you will end up diluting the mixture and the less amount of water you add the more dense and vigorous it will become. If you are going to make it more of a paste then I would refrain from daily use, but if you use it as directed it is absolutely gentle enough for every day.
The Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant has been in my daily cleansing routine, I say cleansing because I use it in the shower right after cleansing my face, for a couple of weeks now and I am completely in love with it. I honestly couldn’t imagine not using this now. My face becomes so smooth and polished after use and I really can’t get enough! It can be found on Dermalogica’s site or Ulta!
