As many of you know by now, I am on Nutrisystem. I am getting the system for a few months for free so that I can review it and tell you all, my readers, the results. So far they are amazing! I have been on it for right at one month now and I am doing really good! I will be writing an update again soon! Anyway, I have been trying to incorporate way more veggies into my daily intake and I am trying to get creative in how I am doing it. The Brieftons Spiral Slicer (found on Amazon) has been a big help!
I am not trying to specifically go low-carb, just more or less add more green veggies. It is designed to make raw vegetable “pastas” with ease from carrots, zucchinis and the like, the Brieftons Spiral Slicer is the perfect gadget for raw foodists. I personally like to add some Mrs. Dash (no salt) seasoning and a spritz of lemon juice and eat as is. It goes well as a side with any of the Nutrisystem meals. I almost looks like slaw.
It works great on firm veggies like carrots, zucchinis, turnips, rutabagas, cucumbers, large radishes, and more. In fact, it works better than expensive models. It is super easy & quick to operate this gadget, and is safe to use thanks to the built-in finger guards!
This is a high quality kitchen tool, made from first grade plastic and stainless steel. It comes with super sharp Japanese blades to cut through even the hardest vegetables. It is also compact enough to fit into a kitchen drawer. There is no annoying attachments to worry about. The Brieftons Spiralizer is also easy to clean & dishwasher safe. Just rinse it under the tap, spin it in the dishwasher, or use the included kitchen brush to clean it!
The Brieftons spiralizer is great for those following a low carb, gluten free, or paleo diet, using vegetables instead of pasta/noodles. It is also great for fussy kids to make their vegetables more interesting! I have seen my son eat more veggies after they were sliced up with this than ever before!
Sometimes it is good to just throw in some salsa and have a “cold pasta”! YUM! Check out the Brieftons Spiral Slicer for yourself on Amazon! Tell me in the comments below ton win one of these of your own: What are you doing in an attempt to eat a little healthier?
