I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Zappos.com. I received product samples to facilitate my review.
I showed you in a previous post all the great stuff I got from Zappos to make sure my son had what he needed for back to school! Wellllllll… we had a photo shoot. He picked most of these things out himself and he was actually eager to try them on! What a difference shopping online and trying on the clothes at home makes. He would have fought me with this many outfit changes at a brick and mortar store! Maybe it was all the great brands they offered that had him so excited to browse the site, maybe it was because there was so much that suited him… Who knows? Who cares? It worked.
So, on to the outfits.
The first shirt he is wearing is the one he picked out specifically for football. It is sleeveless Under Armour top. He has worn it to several practices now because it allows for some air to hit his skin. It is really hot out there, y’all!
The next tee is also from Under Armour and actually says the words football. He started tackle football this year and he is super proud. He wants the world to know! haha
And because the school building can be cool inside we bought him a Volcom thermal hoodie. It is that perfect thickness to keep him warm, but not too warm. I am a stickler for making sure he has a pullover in his backpack and this one has made a permanent home there.
His shoes are the thing in which he is the most proud. My husband had picked a pair of shoes, I picked a pair of shoes and then he came in and vetoed those and picked his own. This was his ultimate victory. I really like these Nike’s but I wont tell him, it would just ruin it for him.
Because we live in Florida we tend not to buy jeans and sweat pants or things like that. Shorts are pretty much year round. 10 months out of the year we can get away with shorts and flip flops. I mean, we were still swimming in our pool in October. I wore shorts to take him trick-or-treating in our neighborhood last year. All that being said, these Under Armour shorts were a must have. And he is in LOVE with the glow-in-the-dark shirt.
My husband chimed in and helped Tristan pick out this Volcom outfit. He really loves everything his dad does. It is so sweet the way my son idolizes his dad. He is a true hero in his eyes… Mine, too! The shirt looks like something Mike would wear!
Such a tough guy!
Anyway, these Volcom shorts are everything. I am a huge fan of small details. There is a little Volcom symbol on the inside of one of the legs. I LOVE that.
The last thing that is probably on everyone’s list is a winter coat. I mentioned that 10 months of the year and shorts and flip flops weather around here, but the 2 months that are our Winter actually feel more like Fall. Okay, there are a few week where it gets pretty cold, but for the most part a nice fleece will do the trick. My son LOVES Georgia Bull dogs and this red, black and white Under Armour pullover was right up his alley. I can already see him wearing it every game day!
Needless to say, Zappos has everything I need for Back to School. A few of the shoe brands they carry: Nike, Stride Rite, New Balance, Converse, Keen and Pediped. Clothing brands include: Nike, Under Armour, The Northface, Patagonia, Roxy, Volcom, Splendid and Tommy Hilfiger! Everything, right? I have had a very pleasant experience with Zappos and have now been upgraded to a VIP account after my last order. There is so much to choose from. You can get everything you need for your kids to go back to school, plus some! Follow them on Social media!
