Purple is a shade that I don’t wear often enough. I do honestly love the color and I do LOVE seeing it on others, so I decided to give a look a go. I also documented it, so you can follow along in this step by step tutorial. I like to call it Pretty In Purple!
{one} With windshield wiper motions, buff the darker purple shade into the crease. I like to really have my crease look blown out, so the more buffing and blending the better.
{two} Take the black shade to the outer v, concentrating the color on the inside.
{three} With a flat shader brush, pat the light purple shade onto the lids.
{four} Apply the light pearl shade on the inner corner of the eyes.
{five} Using a pencil brush, buff the darker purple shade onto the lower lash line.
{six} Create a flick, or cat eye, with some liquid liner.
{seven} Use a lash curler to vamp up your lashes.
{eight} Apply your favorite mascara to add a little drama.
The eyeshadows I am using are from Pur Minerals. They are the Perfect Fit Eye Shadow Trios in Wild Child (purples) and Rock Goddess (black).
Wild Child, the purple one, has a matte deep purple, a shimmery violet, and a pearly white.
Rock Goddess, the black one, has a matte black, a shimmery silver and a satin white.
To create the lip in my look above, I used the Lip Gloss Sticks in Daredevil (the red one) and Beach Bum (the peachy pink one).
They are kind of gorgeous!
I didn’t use just one. I actually applied Beach Bum to the upper lip and Daredevil on the bottom lip. It creates a pretty gradient lip and the only blending you have to do is slightly pressing your lips together. I pretty much love these colors for that look.
Overall, I really love Pur Minerals. They have the quality products for affordable prices. You really can’t go wrong.
Tell me in the comments below: What are the shades that you admire from afar, but rarely use yourself?
